The film will be directed by Dasarath, who is also known for bringing out good love stories on the silver screen. The film is likely to go to sets very soon. It is learnt that there is one more heroine in the film and she is yet to be selected.

Music by Chakri, the songs are fast and peppy in ‘Golimaar’. Produced by Bellamkonda Suresh, ‘Golimaar’ is an action movie that is an inspiration of a true life story of an encounter specialist named Daya Nayak.

Puri is known for his action flicks. His ‘Super’, ‘Pokiri’ and a few others are testimonial to him. With action hero Gopichand, one can expect the double dhamaka the movie has to offer. With cinematography by Shyam K Naidu, the movie is technically sound and fans can have a treat when the movie releases later this month.

“I am playing a contemporary girl who handles things in her own style. I can rave about my character as it reflects a modern age girl like most Gautham movies do. At the same time, it is a different experience for me,” she says.

Confirming reports that the film is a thriller, Sameera says, “but it is not your usual thriller. It’s quite experimental in terms of treatment and characterisation. I can say it’s something Gautham has never attempted before.”

She adds: “I’m not going to spoil it by telling more. But I can drop a hint, if you go to theatre with some expectations, and then, sorry, you will be dumped with surprises. It is not the regular movie and that’s the way the film is constructed.”

The movie will be Produced by Bellamkonda Suresh for Sai Ganesh Productions, the movie is said to be the talk of the industry because of the sensational combination. Talking about the movie the producer expressed his happiness as he has an excellent opportunity to witness record breaking collections. He even went on to add the combination of Puri Jagannath and Balakrishna will be most talked about for ages to come.

Balakrishna is not new to Bellamkonda Suresh’s camp. He has worked for the banner for movies like ‘Chennakesava Reddy’ and police flick ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’. The electrifying combination of Puri and Balayya sounds like a blockbuster in the making.

Puri Jagannath is waiting for his ‘Golimaar’ starring Gopi Chand to release this summer while ‘Simha’ Balakrishna will be busy on the sets of ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ under the direction of Dr.Dasari Narayana Rao.

Magadheera, directed by SS Rajamouli, is a visual treat and it’s highlight is its stunning graphics and a stellar performance by Ram Charan Teja. Looks like after the Anushka-starrer Arundhati, which made waves in Tamil Nadu, Magadheera is all set to take the state by storm.

A source said, “Mani wanted stunt director Sham Kaushal to shoot an action sequence in which a petrol bomb was being used. The scene was being shot with Vikram and Aishwarya Rai. It was a difficult scene to execute as Mani wanted the bomb to go off in mid-air, just a few feet away from Vikram. The bomb was to blast just seconds before it hit the ground. Even if there was a small error in the timing of the blast, Vikram would get seriously injured. Mani insisted that the scene be executed just the way he wanted it and that too, with Vikram, Aishwarya and all the other actors in the frame.”

Commenting on why Mani was so adamant on making the scene as precarious as possible, the source said, “Mani himself had been in a similar situation when his film Bombay released. A bomb went off in midair and he was saved by just a few seconds in 1995.”

“I just love food. I can cook everything from Thai to Sindhi food, and I can eat everything under the sun. Yeah, I can shame most men with my big appetite. I make sure to visit every restaurant I possibly can when I’m travelling,” says the Mumbai beauty. Looking at her shape, one would never guess that this girl packs in such a fabulous appetite. Anjana is currently shooting in Hyderabad opposite Ram Charan Teja.

“After Boni, I took a break for six months to brush up on my acting skills. I learnt a little bit of dance and also got into shape,” she says. And she’s thrilled about doing a Kannada film. “I think I’ve made the right choice; it’ll be a great experience to work with producer Bharath and director Mahesh Babu, who want to make movies for today’s audience,” she says.

And Sandalwood, says Kriti, is no different from the Tamil and Telugu industries. “It was a conscious decision to do a Kannada film. I’m a Bangalore girl after all,” says the Punjabi kudi, who rejected Ravi Teja’s film for Chiru. “I was offered the role opposite Ravi Teja which is now being played by Anjana Sukhani as my dates clashed with this film. I’m committed to Chiru now. Besides, I like doing only one project at a time,” she says.

As for Chiranjeevi, Kriti says, “We belong to the same generation and make for a fresh jodi. I’m sure we’ll share good chemistry on screen as it’s a very cute love story.” Apart from acting, Kriti has hosted shows, too. “Being part of the Filmfare awards, I got acquainted with Kajal Agarwal, who’s a good friend now, and Allu Arjun, whose pet name is Bunny. But I have the biggest crush on Nagarjuna, which I’ve even mentioned to his wife, Amala,” she laughs.

Confirming the development, she says, “I was looking for a bigger place as I am used to moving around in bigger spaces. I have finally found an apartment which is perfect. It is bright, airy and very spacious.” Shruti had made her Bollywood debut in Luck opposite chocolate boy Imran Khan, but ironically, the film ran out of luck in the boxoffice. The pretty lass had also composed music of her father Kamal Haasan’s hit Unnaipol Oruvan, which was widely appreciated.

“I had signed Lahore much before I started my career down south. It’s a movie made on a modest budget. I accepted this film because I have a performance-oriented role in it. Tell me, how many actors actually get to do performanceoriented roles in their first film? Thankfully, today, looking glam is not the only thing necessary to be a part of B-town. Look at the kind of films that Vidya Balan and Konkona Sen Sharma are doing,” she explains.

Does she think that a Bollywood film will change things for her in the south? “Absolutely. I think I’ll be in a position to choose better films. I’m fed up of doing all those glamorous roles. I have decided not to do meaningless roles,” she shoots back.
